International conference on safe and secure management of hazardous material in Sri Lanka is crucial to protect people, property and the planet from risks and hazards that are inherent in the entire process of management from generation to disposal. Since Sri Lanka has accelerated development processes after establishing peace and harmony, it is imperative that this area is focused and addressed with adequate and regular symposia.
Making manufacturers’ and consumers’ understand their responsibility through regular and structured programmes for operational workforce as well as for top management will close gaps in operational level and management commitment, thus driving organisations towards sustainable development ensuring safety and wiping away its environmental footprint.
