Resource Recovery for Sustainable Development
The main priority of Alternate Resource Partners (ARP) is to aid industry and government in their effort to efficiently
recover valuable resources from their waste guided by the Waste Hierarchy using strict environmental and safe practices.
A growing attention of the public over the effects of climate change, the search for alternative energy sources and the drive towards
sustainable development has led to great improvements in the recycling of waste materials.
However, there are numerous sources of residual waste from fabrication processes that await transformation into useful energy and
materials which will allow for a significant reduction in the requirement of fossil fuels and other raw materials.
To allow this transformation to happen it is essential that a different approach is taken towards waste. Instead of thinking of waste
as useless and disposable material, there should be a mindset of investigating possible uses of waste and application of found possibilities.
To accomodate such a re-setting of minds it imperative that a three layered approach is used:
- Education of government, industry and investors
- Identify opportunities for possible reuse or recycling of waste
- Implement the identified opportunities with or for the customer
